The anther of the lily is found at the top of the stamen, resting atop the filament. This is the part that houses the pollen for the flower, making it the male reproductive structure of the plant. The mature pollen is easily brushed onto other objects from the anther, as the plant attempts to reproduce.
Reload the page to show the sidebar again when you've closed it or simply hit the ? button to call it back.
Explore the subject by using the + and - buttons to zoom in and out. The image will load more tiles as more zoom is used. This is indicated by a loading icon that will appear under the Full Screen Button which is located below the zoom out button. To get an unobstructed view of the specimen click the layers button on the upper right. This will allow you to select full specimen. Full specimen mode allows for more zoom.
