Nymphaea of Aqstio Stem

This plant is more commonly known as the Water Lily. After pollination, the stem tightens in a spiraling spring to bring the flower head underwater. The fruit then develops underwater into a spongy berry with many seeds. Young seeds float to allow for better distribution by water currents. Eventually they become waterlogged and sink to the bottom to grow.
